Joe Niemand of the band Niemand is well-known in the South African music industry and gets accolades for his songwriting abilities.
Joe produced and wrote the song "I Don't Live There Anymore" which
featured on the teen horror film Slash, screened at the Cannes Film
Festival where it was selected by Universal International for
worldwide distribution. It has been translated into thirteen
languages and released in the US, UK, China, Germany, France,Spain,
Brazil, Italy, Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic.
Joe wrote and performed the song "A New Day for SA" for the film
"Faith like Potatoes" Also due for international release.
Joe's music has featured on virtually every program dealing with music
in SA. He has written various chart topping songs for an array of
South African artists.
He has performed in front of international dignitaries and Royalty at
events like the Presidential Awards, the Launch of the Commonwealth
Games and the World Summit.
At a recent awards ceremony, The South African Recording Rights
Association honoured Joe as 'Contemporary Songwriter of the Year'. In
the Contemporary category, all 11 Official Languages competed.

is still charting on Radio making it 131 weeks since Words first
charted.
Band records 2nd album This is War the second full studio album. This album is NOW available.
2006
"Simple Truth" included on "Now 43"
"All I Have" reaches # 1 on various stations and breaks the record on
Highveld's Homebrew by staying at #1 for 5 weeks.
" All I Have" included on compilation cd "Now 44".
Videos for "Words", "Simple Truth" and "All I Have", all enjoy
extensive airplay and receive high rotation on stations such as MK89
and SABC3.
Niemand album 'Reborn" nominated for a SAMA
Niemand nominated as "Best Band" in the MK89 Awards.
Niemand travel to US and perform in Nashville and New York .
"Words" and "All I Have" used for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Shoot
television feature.
"Hardest Thing" reaches #1 on Algoa SA Top 5.
Niemand performs for the Nelson Mandela Foundation in Soweto and finds
the crowd singing along.
Performs at Woodstock 8, main stage.
Headlines the St Francis Bay New Year's Eve concert.
