Hannes is a well known actor for the last 17 years. He performed the leading roles in about 40 stage shows when he was a permanent stage actor for PACOFS and PACT. He also did several Television series for example "Torings", Laksman", Angels and Shattered Mirrors.

Hannes is also a well known television presenter in South Africa and abroad. He covered the Special Olympics (USA) and did interviews with Pres. Clinton, Pres. Mandela, Tony Danza, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Magazine and Fashion Programmes were also done by him and he interviewed people, the likes of Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss. He also worked extensively as a Director and Producer on a number of projects.

Hannes portrayed the part of Krynauw du Bussion for the last 8 years in the very popular soapie, Egoli.
